On April 4th Adam Johnson makes his debut with Symphony Nova Scotia, in a program featuring Stravinsky’s Octet, Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, and Dvorak’s seldom-heard Piano Concerto, with Sara Davis Buechner as soloist.

Renewing his award-winning collaboration with Patrice Belanger, Adam Johnson conducts and acts (by memory in French!) in Les Mathématiques de la Musique with the OSM, performing for 8000 youth over 4 days.

He then leads to the OSM back-to-back in a varied program previewing the 2019-2020 season for donors, featuring music by Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Dvorak, Adams, and Chang.

His 3rd program with the OSM in April alone, Adam Johnson conducts Messiaen’s Oiseaux Exotiques and Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major with veteran Jean-Philippe Collard at the piano, as well as Holst’s The Planets.
