Returning to the OSM for his 1st of 3 guest conducting appearances with the orchestra in the 2019-2020 season, Adam Johnson conducts 138 musicians on stage in the Maison Symphonique for the hommage to Renée Claude, raising more than $100 000 for Alzheimer’s research.

Adam Johnson’s alma mater, the Conservatoire de Musique de Montreal, invites him to rehearse Bernstein’s Candide Overture and Symphonic Dances, as well as Gershwin’s American in Paris and Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto.

He then leads a public workshop on Handel’s Messiah, featuring soloists from the Atelier Lyrique of the Opéra de Montréal.
